Hair Needs Some Care!

Long, beautiful, and shiny hair has been a long-standing symbol of beauty. Women from ancient civilizations as far back as the Egyptians have taken great pride in the appearance of their hair. However, it takes a lot of time and effort for you to be able to have long, beautiful hair. Well, there are loads of natural care remedies for the hair. Some of these make the hair healthier while others reduce dandruff.

Tea leaves make a perfect rinse for your hair. Boil the tea leaves in water and let the solution cool down. Use this as a final rinse when you wash your hair. Tea leaves are full of natural vitamins and minerals that hair so badly need. You can easily have tea leaves from any grocery stores, and they cost far less than salon brand conditioners.

Who says you have to pour that old flat beer down the drain? Beer, like tea leaves, forms an excellent conditioner for hair. Once the fizz has left, beer can be used as a rinse. It leaves the hair soft, shiny, and glowing.

And then you have lemons. They are rich in vitamin C and lemon juice makes a wonderful hair rinse. Dilute the juice down to at least three to one. Apply it to your hair after shampooing. The juice conditions and nourishes the hair.

Furthermore, vinegar is great for the hair as well as the skin. Vinegar has natural PH balancing properties that reduce acne and dandruff. Using vinegar as a final rinse gives hair a healthy glow, and gets the scalp in balance. Vinegar reduces dandruff as well.

For those who love sweet things, honey can be a great option. Honey is endowed with some amazing preserving properties. Honey helps keep the skin healthy, and prevents decomposition. Your hair can also benefit from honey. Mix 3 teaspoons of honey in a pint of water. Apply it to the hair, but make sure that it gets rubbed into the scalp. This will nourish and moisturize the hair, and also reduce dandruff. So, next time, when you are about to squash a bee, think again!

Painting the hands with henna is an art form in many Asian and Middle Eastern countries. However, henna has some more uses. Henna is an amazing natural treatment to tone up the hair. Henna restores bounce and luster of the hair, and makes them look better and healthier. Henna is available in most health food stores. F you are not getting it, try an Asian food shop in your area.

If you are one of those who spend tons of money on expensive, salon type shampoos; stop right here! Here are a couple of tips on how you can trim down your shampoo usage, and thus save some money. Try this – If you cannot part with the idea of using a shampoo, try this for a starter. Add some baking soda to the shampoo that you use. This will get in, and loosen dirt and grease. It will make the shampoo work better, so you use less of it. This will cut the cost down if you cannot give up your favorite brand.

Another solution that you can use with shampoo involves apple cider vinegar and condensed water. Use one fourth of a cup of apple cider vinegar and one gallon of condensed water. Keep this in the refrigerator and use it every two weeks. This will get the dirt and grime out, and save on your usage of shampoos.

If you are a bit more daring, you can actually make your own shampoo at home. Take 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of castile soap one half cup of water, and any essential oil that you like. Mix it all up and you have your own homemade shampoo ready. This will be better than anything a salon has to offer. It will give your hair a deep cleaning without the additives and harsh chemicals that most of the store bought brands tend to have.

Finally, you can clean your hair and scalp quite well by just using baking soda. Massage it into you scalp and rinse away. The soda absorbs dirt, odors, and oils. Your hair may feel dry at first, but after a few times, it will be shiny and flake free. Massaging your scalp can promote hair growth and reduce headaches as well.

The sad truth is that we are all going to age. However, how age affects us is something that we have quite a lot of control over. You can try it! Just start working on our body and beauty from within. And amazingly, you will realize that you can restrain that age clock quite a bit. Eating healthy, exercising, and drinking plenty of water can do a world of good to help you prolong the youth.

Don’t let any one con you into buying dubious beauty enhancing, anti-ageing products. There are hordes of enticing ads that claim to work wonders for your beauty. But, you need to be skeptical about them. And when nature has created a whole slew of beauty avenues, herbs, and natural treatments for you; there is no reason why you should not avail yourself of all that nature has gifted. After all looks are natural, so why not look good naturally!
