No Carbonated Drinks
Completely stop drinking carbonated drinks – soft drinks, soda etc. Carbonated drinks increase bloating. Instead, have good amount of water everyday, apart from having lemon juices and fresh (not packaged) fruit juices. And when you have juices, don’t drink via a straw, because it causes you to swallow air that can cause gas.
No salty, sodium-rich foods
Avoid too much salty foods & sodium-rich foods (like salted nuts, chips etc), fish, meat, frozen food products, poultry products, junk food etc. Such food products cause your body to retain water and that makes you feel bloated.
No Cruciferous veggies
Cruciferous veggies (like Arugula, Bok choy, Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Collard greens) and legumes (like Chickpeas, Beans, Peas, Lentils, Lupins) are good for health – BUT – you can avoid these foods a week or so before your wedding day . The reason is that these foods may create gas, and leave your tummy a tad puffy. You are advised to have only light, easily digestible foods two weeks before your wedding.
It’s best not to have any kind of alcohol, champagne etc. Alcohol is known to be dehydrating and usually disturb your sleep and schedule.
